The Giving Tree is a public art installation by Studio Huizenga featuring curved steel forms anchored by a living Burr Oak tree. For this project, I created a series of illustrations depicting animals associated with the Burr Oak and its surrounding ecosystem. These images were laser cut into the Corten steel components of the sculpture. I also developed additional illustrations that were laser cut into the project’s illuminated signage, creating a cohesive visual connection across the site.
